Where can I find the model number on my appliance?

The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate in an easy-to find place. Manufacturers have been more helpful recently in placing this model number in locations that are easily accessible to you, the customer. A Model number can also be found on the manual/guide you received when you purchased your appliance. Be careful, as this sometimes can result in incorrect parts. Most often the manual/guide is produced to include several different models. It doesn’t tell you which one of these models is yours. There could be different parts for these different models. Model numbers on manuals/guides are often incomplete as well. You may not get accurate information about your appliance.

Do I really need to concern myself with dryer vent cleaning?

Yes! One of the leading causes of house fires is the clothes dryer! Most dryer fires happen as the result of improper maintenance, mainly, failure to clean dryer vents and exhaust ducts.

Should I be worried with proper stove maintenance and repairs?

Absolutely. If a stove is not properly maintained, or repaired by someone who is not trained to make repairs, there is the potential for serious problems. Gas leaks may occur if gas flow is obstructed or if the pilot light is not working. Gas leaks can cause severe nausea or even fire hazards. An odor that smells like rotten eggs may be a good indication of a gas leak.
